A pet medication log your sitter can open from a link

From your app to the sitter’s browser

1. Create a sitter link. In the app’s Sitter links section, choose Create sitter link, add a label, select the pet or pets available on your plan, and choose the expiry.
2. Share or copy it before closing. Use Share link or Copy on the Sitter link ready screen. The app shows the link only once, so send or save it at this step.
3. The sitter opens the link. Their browser shows today’s scheduled doses for the selected pets within the link’s permitted dates.
4. Record what happened. The sitter taps Gave or Skipped on a due dose. The saved mark becomes part of the household’s shared journal, with who marked it and when.

Choose the access that fits the visit

You can end access early with Revoke access. The link stops working, while past actions remain in History.

Questions about sitter access

Does the sitter need an app or an account?

No. The owner creates a sitter link in the DoseHandoff iPhone app. The sitter opens that link in a browser without installing the app or registering an account.

What can the sitter record?

For the selected pets and permitted day, the sitter can mark a due dose as Gave or Skipped. The shared record identifies the sitter and records the time. These buttons record what happened; they do not tell the sitter whether to give or skip medication.

How long does a sitter link last?

Free includes one active sitter link for one active pet. Today only expires at the end of the day, within 24 hours of creation. Plus supports unlimited sitter links, with an expiry up to 30 days from creation.

Will I receive a notification?

DoseHandoff sends a notification to the other active household members when a dose is marked. To receive it, notifications must be enabled on their registered devices. You can also check the shared journal in the app.

What if the link expires or I want to end access?

An expired or revoked link no longer permits access. The owner can use Revoke access in Sitter links to end access early; past actions remain in History. If care continues, the owner can create and share a new link within their plan limits.
